Goal

This document provides information for Creating and Deleting V4 indexes through Sitefinity.

Prerequisite

Configured Sitefinity Connector

Steps to Create V4 Index

1. Navigate to Sitefinity 'Search indexes' backend page (your-site-domain/Sitefinity/Administration/Settings/Basic/Search)
2. Click ‘Create a search index’ button or click on an existing index
3. From ‘Scope’ select content types that you want to index
4. [Optional] Add additional fields to the index
   1. Expand the ‘Advanced’ section
   2. In the ‘Additional fields for indexing’ text box add your custom fields as a comma separated text
   3. Only fields of type - Short text, Long text, Classification and Related Media can be exported
5. Click ‘Save changes’
6. Go to ‘Actions’ of the corresponding index
7. Press the ‘Reindex’ button

Steps to Delete V4 Index

1. Navigate to Sitefinity 'Search indexes' backend page (your-site-domain/Sitefinity/Administration/Settings/Basic/Search)
2. Click on the ‘Action’ button for the corresponding index
3. Click on ‘Delete’
