Merchandising Visibility Rules

Note

Visibility rules outlined in this section should be add only for HawkSearch Connector version prior 0.7.0. Starting 0.7.0 the different product visibility logic was developed which doesn't require adding Merchandising Visibility Rules

Magento has 4 options for Product Visibility:

1. “Not Visible Individually”
2. “Catalog”
3. “Search”
4. “Catalog, Search”

For better support of Magento’s Catalog visibility logic we need to create a couple of Conditional Visibility rules. Go to Merchandising > Visibility Rules. Create a Conditional rule Hide products with "Search" visibility on Category pages

Select items to hide:

And specify hide trigger:

Create one more rule Hide products with "Catalog" visibility within regular search

Select items to hide:

And specify hide trigger:

Here you go! You can test your search results.
